Murin: The Rat Queen Raider 02

This is the first of the GWITs (Girls with Icky Things) done in 3D, and the first of the GWITS with a formal title. I tried to make it look as much like the concept as possible (improving on the concept where I could). For this piece, I spent a ton of time looking at Asian women and rats.

The textures were hand-painted in zBrush. Normal Maps were generated in ‘Max.

Yes, folks, it’s REALTIME. The shader was compiled using ShaderFX. It took me a long time to get the specular math right. I have a new appreciation for the code-monkeys who make the shaders that go into our games, I tell you. God bless you, code-monkeys.
